  • Pat and Don were married on December 12, 1971. The story was indeed blessed by God. They
met in October, Don proposed on a Wednesday and they were married on a Sunday. They had
Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get everything ready.
  • Get Marriage License
  • GET RINGS
  • PAT HAD TO GET HER DRESS AND OTHER THINGS
  • DON HAD TO MEET PAT'S PARENTS FOR THE FIRST TIME ON FRIDAY AND ASK FOR
   PAT'S HAND
  • THEY HAD NO TIME FOR THE HONEYMOON BECAUSE THEY WORKED AT THE SAME
PLACE AND HAD TO BE AT WORK ON MONDAY
  • NO TIME TO SEND OUT INVITATION, ONLY TO CALL AND INVITE CERTAIN PEOPLE
  • WE COULD NOT TELL THE SCHOOL WE WERE GETTING MARRIED BECAUSE WE FEARED
THAT THEY WOULD NOT LET US WORK AT THE SAME PLACE AFTER WE WERE MARRIED
  • PAT'S MOTHER AND DAD HAD TO HELP GET EVERYTHING TOGETHER ON SATURDAY.
PAT'S DAD SAID TO DON, " IF WE HAVE ADD ON ONE MORE THING I'M GOING TO JUST GIVE
YOU THE MONEY AND LET YA'LL ELOPE!!"
  • WOULD NOT SUGGEST FOR EVERYONE TO TRY, BUT NOW 44 YEARS LATER WE ARE
    STILL TOGETHER!!!!
