MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well another year has raced by and here we are in 2017!!!
Hoping you had a Merry Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year
Giving and update on what’s been going on in our family.
PAT continues to work for Donato, Minxs, Brown and Pool Law Firm. This is her 21st
year with them. This year she required leg vein surgery, which she had twice and will
need more in 2017. The worse part about her job is the commute because Houston
traffic is terrible. She is hoping to retire soon and get out of traffic jams!!
DON has been retired since 2000 from public schools and private schools in 2003. He
then worked two years for McGraw/Hill selling school textbooks. So, he has been
RETARD since 2005. During the past year he has been able to write and publish three
books: The LaGrace Beauty Shop, Diary of A Backwoods Preacher, and The Return of
How to Talk Texan. The LaGrace Beauty Shop is the only one not on Amazon. He made
a whole $.32 last month, yes 32 cents.
SHAWN still is not well, but continues to make some progress. For those who do not
know, Shawn had a serious head injury in 2014 and has been on disability and unable
to work. He now weighs more than he ever did, because, thank the Lord, there is
nothing wrong with his appetite.
BLAKE was laid off by Haliburton last year due to low oil prices and since then he has
been trying to get his own business off the ground. He and his company make carved
wooden plaques. He is hoping his company will be profitable soon. In the meantime, he
had to move back home after living in apartments for the past 7 years. He has been a
great help to us on several house projects which we needed.
This year we lost our little Lady. She was such a sweetheart, but she finally succumbed
to her many health issues. Scooby and Lady were out of the same litter, Dachshund/
Chihuahua mix. Scooby is still with us, along with our dog we found two years ago. We
call her Little Bit or Angel.
WE WERE BLESSED TO HAVE MY DEAR COUSIN, TRINA WITH US CHRISTMAS
DAY!!
Since we have no Grand children to take pictures of, we instead have pictures of our
GRAND DOGS!!
Thank you Lord for all of the many blessings you have given us this year, including our
new carpet. We replaced our old 26 year old carpet with a brand new one and it is really
nice.
