Last week I had a $5 coupon to be used at Ace Hardware, so I decided to use it.
I needed a new 3 pronged garden tool and I figured I could use the $5 coupon for
that. When I walked in there was a big sign that read: Win a chance to meet Hunter
Mahan, so I signed up.
Lo and behold I received a call that I had won 2 VIP Passes to Top Golf.
For your information, Top Golf is a golf hitting facility near our house, which I had
never been to. Last night I took my son, Shawn, and went to see what the VIP pass
was all about. We were given free hitting and free food and drink.
Top Golf uses golf balls with GPS and you hit off a carpet toward targets. Top
Golf provides the clubs or we could have used our own. We chose to use theirs. You
have choices of Sand Wedge to 5 iron, 3 wood, driver both men's and women's. The
targets vary from about 80 yards to over 200 yards. There is an electronic scoring
device that records your points and tells you how far you hit the ball.
We enjoyed our drinks and food and got to meet Hunter Mahan. I got him to sign
my cap and wished him luck this weekend at the Houston Open and later when he
plays the Masters.
