When the wreck occurred,
Mac was a coach in
Richardson School district
and Jr. High. There are
always ironic twists to life
and one had to do with the
name Henderson. Some of
the people in the car which
hit Vivien and Mac
were....Henderson. Mack's
head coach when he was at
Forney was....Henderson.
This is the letter written to our
mother by the Forney coach's
wife after the wreck. (a
Henderson, but no kin to me that
I know) This letter expresses as
much about Vivien as I could
possibly say, because this was
the essence of Vivien. I offer a
copy of this letter as an
expression of the life of our

My Mother received a touching letter from
Coach Henderson's (Mack's former coach
in Forney) wife after the wreck. Mother
was still recovering and was unable to read
or respond for some time. It really meant a
lot to all of us when we received the letter.
This letter perfect describes who Vivien
was and how important her husband's
work was to her. Thank you Mrs. Johnnie
Henderson for your kind remarks
