Don, Paul, Mother holding Vivien, Uncle Ray

My Mother, Gladys Rogers Henderson Powers, passed into the next realm, November 10,
1995. One of the special days in Mother’s life was Veteran’s Day, November 11. On this
day she always honored all veterans, but especially her brother Ray who was killed in
Okinawa and her brother Leroy who was a hero of WW II. So, as we remember this day
and the Veterans, both past and present that have defended our country let us never
forget them and always honor them. On this Memorial Day, May 25, 2020, my Mother
would have seen to it that a flag was flown in honor of her brother, Ray Rogers, who was
killed in Okinawa, and to her brother Leroy Rogers who was wounded during WW II. She
also was a great supporter of all of our military.
