Today I seemed to be called to share the talk that my Mother made about Mothers.
She apparently gave a devotional, only I'm not sure exactly, when or where. I only
know it was on Mother's day. At the end of her hand-written talk, she had a printed
schedule of events which read: EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, First Baptist Church,
Malakoff, Texas, April 14, 1963, 7:00 a.m. From the copy of the program, it appears
that it was a combined Easter service with The Baptist Church, The Assembly of God,
and The Methodist Church.
Since this was at the end of her hand-written text, I am not sure if she was a part of
the devotional on this day, or did she just use this as a guide to prepare her talk. My
guess is she used something from this program in order to give her devotional.
Mother did not live in Malakoff in 1963, although she could have been visiting
because Mr and Mrs Powers still lived there as well as Paul's sister and brother in law
(Cozette and Joe Barnett) Actually it makes no difference where she was when she
gave the speech. What matters is it's content. Below is shown the program that she
wrote upon. I REALIZE THAT TODAY IS NOT MOTHER'S DAY, BUT BECAUSE

thinking about Mothers. Mine, Yours and Ours. I will provide you with a PDF file
in Mother's own hand writing and also I will give you a copy as I interpret the way she
