As we all grow older, we are reminded that death is a part of life. Today, Feb 10,
we are faced once again of the inevitable. Friday, Feb 7, Frank Garcia called and
told me of the passing of Ben. Ben had been in a nursing home and sadly it
happened when Frank was having to be with his wife at M.D. Anderson. Prayers
are with the Garcia family. At the passing of any of my friends, I begin to reflect
back to the "good Ole days"; back when we were all young and students at Dear
Old Malakoff High. Ben Garcia graduated with our '57 class and he was a vital part
of our growing up in Malakoff, as was his entire family.
